Why is this topic so important in speaking up about?
1 in 5 children will be sexual solicited before they turn 18 within the United States and internationally every 30 seconds a child is stolen.
It’s the largest growing criminal enterprise in the word.
17,500 women and children and trafficked into the United States every year.
Human trafficking generates over a billion dollars annually worldwide cause unlike drugs that you can only trade once you can trade a human multiple times. Meaning someone can get raped multiple times a day.
The United States is the number one consumer of child sex exploitation material.
Since COVID-19 and the safer at home orders took place have made this issue worse. The idea that everyones home life is safe is just not a true reality.
Some kids only break from abuse and a bad home life is when they get to go to school.
Now kids have been forced to be at home and spend all day on the computer which is a prime place where traffickers are searching on social media and online gaming etc.
According to the national center of missing and exploited children reported in April 4 million reports of crimes against children took place in the United States which is 2x more than what it was in 2019.
We have to speak up about this issue no matter how hard it is!!
