Even Then
I shared this message a couple months ago on my Instagram but I feel this message is just so important that I need to share it again because honestly I am still learning this. Especially during this Christmas season I feel we get so busy with life. Then when we finally slow down and we realize we never processed the things we are going through. Everyone is going through something and we put on a face that we are always “good” but everyone is going through something that we have no idea about.
Something that gives me a lot of peace anytime a hard circumstance comes up in my life is that if absolutely no one understands me or I have no one to go to. Jesus knows what you are going through He literally faced every trial and endure the ultimate sacrifice. “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.” – Hebrews 4:15

I was coming out of a really hard season these past couple of years and these past couple of months I have been really processing what I the Lord was teaching me in that season. When I came out of that season I learned that the Lord is all that you need like HE IS ALL THAT YOU NEED! And I knew that before the hard season but when you are put in really hard situations you really learn to put all your dependence upon Him. I was always praying and asking God to change my circumstances and it was always the question of why? My circumstances weren’t changing and these past couples of months I have been really learning and processing what I learned during that time.
Currently the Lord has been showing me over and over that He is good even then. Yesterday at church the message was in Daniel when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego weren’t going to worship the king Nebuchadnezzar so he threw them in the furnace and it says “But even if He does not let it be know to you, O king that we are not going to serve your gods and worship the golden image that you have set up.”- Daniel 3:18 This verse really stuck out to me because BUT EVEN IF HE DOES NOT... GOD IS GOD AND GOD IS IN CONTROL AND GOD IS GOOD!! With all this to say I am constantly being reminding that HE IS GOOD even then!
Life is hard and really difficult sometimes and circumstances seem like they are never going to change and what you are going through doesn’t make sense to anyone else and whatever else life throws at us. But what I do know that life is a whole lot better with the Lord Jesus Christ and so so much sweeter. I am telling you spend time with the Father in His word, praying, journaling and just being still. Find what works for you and you will get to know Him better and you will know a peace like no other and life gets a whole lot easier with knowing the King of all Kings is by your side.
